Prior to joining NCTQ, Sarah Almy was the Executive Director of Teacher and Leader Learning with Denver Public Schools (DPS). In this role, she led the organization's talent development strategy for more than 5,000 teachers and 300 school leaders in service of a vision of great instruction and great schools for DPS students. In other leadership roles with DPS, Sarah led talent management functions and strategy focused on finding, growing, amplifying, and retaining top teacher and leader talent. Prior to her work in DPS, Sarah worked as the Director of Teacher Quality at The Education Trust, a national education policy, advocacy, and practice organization focused on closing achievement and opportunity gaps. Sarah previously also served as a partner with TNTP and as the Executive Director of Reading Partners. She holds a master's degree in education policy from Stanford University and an undergraduate degree in political science from Boston College.
