Utah high school teacher and
Deseret News blogger Mary McConnell has been working her way up our unofficial blog roll of late. Last week she expressed her frustration with education schools'
resistance to transparency. Then she highlighted findings from Louisiana's
value-added teacher preparation assessment that suggest traditional teacher prep is falling behind. Most recently she commented on what she
found most valuable in her own training as a teacher.
We're very interested in learning more about what teachers think about their training. Our own recent
survey of teachers on teacher prep gave us a lot of food for thought, particularly the finding that over 80 percent of respondents agreed that there should be a national review. Let us know if there are other teacher blogs out there where teachers discuss teacher prep.
