Creating effective policies to support great teachers is what NCTQ's work is all about, and we have long recognized the imperative to incorporate consistent and meaningful feedback from teachers into our practice. We feel lucky to have amazing teachers on our Advisory Board, and to have teachers regularly contribute perspectives to the organization as guest bloggers. In our district policy work, a large component of our analysis includes conducting surveys and focus groups of teachers in each district we study.

Today, we are excited to announce our newly formed Teacher Advisory Group (TAG). This group is comprised of 10 teachers from around the country who are passionate and committed to improving outcomes for children - not only in their classrooms, but in their communities, states, and the nation. Our Teacher Advisors will help bridge the gap between policy and practice for NCTQ, providing invaluable insights and feedback on our work. 

Teacher Advisors will serve a one year term with NCTQ, and will work on supporting our teacher preparation and district policy team on the development of new standards. They will also review white papers and provide context on what is most important to teachers and why.
