It's refreshing to see two organizations team up to help
each other, but it's even better when they team up to help each other and others. An innovative partnership
between Tulane University and KIPP seems to be doing just that. In
this initiative, which seeks to increase college graduation rates for
low-income students and create more effective teachers, it appears that a
win-win-win situation is in the works. Tulane has agreed to hold ten slots open
for KIPP graduates and KIPP will, in turn, provide assistance and guidance to
the teacher prep program at Tulane. It's
not just the organizations themselves that will likely benefit from this
partnership as it may also prove to be a big win for students too.
